How to read fertility clinic reviews.
Reviews are the most honest thing on any clinic's website, including ours. They are also easy to misread. Three things to keep in mind, wherever you are choosing.
Honest note: we don't put pregnancy stories in our headlines. Every couple is different, and a stranger's outcome should not set your hopes, high or low.
What can a review tell you?
How a clinic treats people: whether the doctor gives time, whether prices were clear, whether anyone pushed. That is worth knowing, and it is hard to fake across a thousand reviews.
What can't a review tell you?
Your chances. A stranger's result says nothing about your age, your diagnosis, your ovarian reserve or your partner's semen analysis. Only an assessment of both of you can.
What happens at the first consultationWhat about a clinic's headline success rate?
Ask for the denominator. A clinic-wide percentage reflects which patients a clinic accepts (ages, diagnoses, cycles declined) more than the care. Ask who it covers, and whether it counts live births or only pregnancies.
