Dr Vani's videos in Tamil.

70 வருடங்களுக்கு முன் குழந்தையின்மை
The same question answered in Tamil. Evidence does not support routine bed rest after a transfer, and ASRM guidance says so directly.

Short answers (English)

One question, one short answer.

Not every couple who struggles to conceive needs IVF. This video covers who IVF is for: blocked or damaged tubes, low sperm counts, low egg reserve, and couples for whom simpler treatment has not worked. At Jananam both partners are tested first, so the plan fits the cause.
What IVF feels like, step by step. The daily injections are small needles under the skin. Egg collection is done under sedation, so you don't feel it at the time, and period-like cramps for a day or two afterwards are common. Embryo transfer needs no anaesthesia.
The basics of an IVF cycle in plain words. Injections help several eggs grow, the eggs are collected, fertilised in the lab, and an embryo is placed in the womb, fresh or in a later cycle. One cycle usually takes 4 to 6 weeks from the first scan.
Donor sperm is considered only after the male partner has been fully assessed, for example when no sperm can be found even with surgical retrieval. In India donors come through a registered ART bank and stay anonymous, both partners consent in writing, and the child is legally yours.
Dr Vani on why men hesitate to come to a fertility clinic, including the assumption that a fertility problem cannot be theirs, and why the conversation goes further with patience than with pressure.
A low AMH on its own decides nothing. Dr Vani on what the test measures, why age and the rest of the picture matter more, and when a low result does not mean starting IVF at once.
Dr Vani on the worry that IVF uses up your eggs. What happens to follicles in a natural cycle compared with a stimulated one, and why collecting eggs is not the same as spending them.
Dr Vani on age and fertility. How the number of eggs changes between birth and menopause, what follicles are, and why quality as well as number falls after thirty-five.
Why ordinary movement after a transfer does not dislodge an embryo, how the womb holds it, and why complete bed rest is not advised.
Dr Vani on endometriosis while you are trying to conceive. Why medication aimed at the pain can delay pregnancy, and when fertility treatment is the better first move.
Not every endometrioma needs an operation. How surgery can reduce ovarian reserve, when it is genuinely necessary, and where IVF fits for women with endometriosis.
What an embryo biopsy is and when it happens. The embryo is grown to the blastocyst stage and a few cells are taken from the trophectoderm and sent for testing.
Who an embryo biopsy may be suggested for, by age, previous IVF outcomes, miscarriage history and known genetic risk. It is not routine, and this is where it is considered.
How PICSI selects sperm. The embryologist uses a dish coated with hyaluronic acid and keeps the sperm that bind to it, which are described as having better DNA integrity.
When PICSI is considered rather than used by default, mainly after a poor ICSI outcome or where sperm DNA fragmentation is high.
Inside the lab. An embryologist freezes a blastocyst, from preparing the media and labelling the Cryolock to placing the embryo into liquid nitrogen.
From the Embryologist vs Embryo series. What an embryologist does after fertilisation, how embryo development is watched, and why embryos are kept in a controlled environment.
Bhagyalakshmi tells her own story after eighteen years and several hospitals, in her words rather than ours. One patient speaking, not a claim about what treatment does.
Off the Record: Dr Vani Sundarapandian on what is involved in producing a sample at home and getting it to the laboratory in time.

A video can explain how a treatment works. It cannot tell you what is right for the two of you. That needs your reports, both of you, and a proper conversation.
